Capture Settings for Intensity Pro 4K.... Help

I am a new Pro 4k user. I can finally capture 1080p 50 in Media Express from HDMI without issue. I say finally because I had to put the card in a different motherboard slot to get it to work.
Now for the tricky bit.... I think I have tried all the options in the capture settings but all i get is 'No valid video input' error message. Sometimes there is a brief blip of audio and/or video on the monitor output but then up pops the error message. I am sure it is a settings issue but any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
