Atem Mini ISO project issues in Resolve 17b9

PostSun Feb 21, 2021 10:29 am

Hi all,
for a new video course I'm using the Atem Mini Pro ISO to directly record a multicamera session. But it turns out I'm running into a lot of issues. I have posted one issue already in the "live" section about the fact that my sound on track seems to run in slow motion, so it is out of sync right from the start and the sound seems to run too slow. The source file of camera 1 (which is used throughout as my mic was attached to that camera, a pocket 4K) is fine and playing the file of camera 1 back it is in sync and runs as intended. All files and the timeline itself are recorded in 1080/25p. I can just place the audio track of camera 1 into my timeline manually and it works. So that's a strange issue.

Apart form this, I've run into a few other strange behaviours. It looks like the ISO only ever saves the simple cross disolves. If you change it to one of the other effects like wipe or dip to color, you still get a simple cross dissolve in the Resolve projekt the ISO created. Also PIP effects are ignored completely and do not show up in the project at all.

I'm on the latest version of the Atem Mini software / firmware, I just updated it before I recorded the session. It was recorded on a Samsung T5, 500 GB.

I'm not sure if these are new issues introduced in one of the latest betas of Resolve, it's the first time I'm using this setup the pro ISO to record my sessions. It surely can't be by design that half of the features you use live do not show up in the project afterwards.

Hi Heiko

I have the exact same issue with the audio slow down.
Same set up as you with 25fps across the board.

I could still get around it by manually creating a new project and importing the files I needed.

I’m in contact with black magic and they are checking if this is a bug.

I recommend that you report your occurrence with black magic so they become aware of these bugs and work on a fix.
