Audio Recording in Beta 9 (ADR)

PostSun Feb 21, 2021 2:03 pm

I'm unable to record audio (ADR) in Resolve 17 Beta 9: although I can select an audio device in the Windows applet and then in Fairlight, no audio is recorded.

If I record, a red patch appears.. and then disappears when the "recording" has finished. I have played with the "patching" options to no effect.

I can record audio normally in other applications such as Sony Vegas and Audacity.

I note that Windows does not mention Resolve as an application which can have access to the system's microphone but can see no way to change this.

Is this an issue with the Beta or is there something else I can try?

My Biases:

You NEED training.
You NEED a desktop.
You NEED a calibrated (non-computer) display.
