"Media offline" for most frames only when using GPU decoding

Specific video file: http://www.mediafire.com/file/g7fb59fq3 ... e.mov/file

Windows 10 build 19042.804.
Using Resolve Studio 17 beta 9.
Nvidia driver 461.40.

When I activate hardware acceleration for H264 videos, I get "Media Offline" for that file. Some few frames appear, but most show as "Media Offline".

Other mov files also having interlaced AVC video and AAC audio work fine.

Changing "field dominance" from auto to "upper field" doesn't fix the problem. Similar interlaced videos (same container, AVC video and AAC audio) do have their frames displayed even with wrong field dominance setting (in "clip attributes").

Storage makes no difference.

If I disable hardware acceleration decoding for H.264 and restart Resolve, video works fine.

Audio always works fine whether hardware decoding is on or off.

Video plays normally in VLC.

I have been having this issue alot lately, only on projects where I "Save as".

to reproduce:
I have my work in progress project (wip), do a save as to "wip - <date>" to make a backup.
if I then make any changes in the - <date> file, many of my clips with fusion fx in them become media offline. when I go into that fusion tab for the clip, it appears that all my "foreground" clips are offline.

Where do I make this change you did to hardware GPU to see if it takes care of my issue?

It's in "Preferences", "System" tab, "Decode Options".

Option is Decode H.264/H.265 using hardware acceleration.

In Resolve 17.0, this problem seems to be gone. At least for the specific file I tested.
