"Add to Queue" Grayed out and audio export only :( Help!!

Hello everyone,

I can't seem to figure out why I can't export .WAV files of my audio tracks. The "Add To Render Queue" automatically goes gray unless I check exporting VIDEO. I tried selecting all kinds of export setting options: 'Render One Track Per Channel', Render as Discrete', etc and a combination of all but still nothing seems to work. I also tested in Davinci 17.9 and same issue.

Is there something I'm missing? I have no issues exporting individual tracks as .WAV files from Premiere, what's the catch in DaVinci? Do I need special hardware? Please help.

Thank you in advanced for any help.

I think I figured out the problem: checkerboarded dialogue tracks will not export as audio only unless a new timeline is created. Let me explain:

Checker boarded dx:

Fix:
1. Select entire timeline > Create New Timeline Using Selected Clips...

And New timeline will now have a single audio track:Image

And that’s how checker boarded audio can be exported as audio only. If anyone knows a better solution please let me know.

I question your conclusions here. Show us the Audio tab of the Render Settings.

2020-Feb 22 5:23 PM UPDATE

So it looks like it is NOT necessary to create a new timeline as concluded in my last response. I can export .wav files just fine. I still can’t explain why both on DaVinci 16 and 17b9, which are on separate computers, I was having the exact same issue. If I figured out what caused it, I will update again.
