Default konfig - Render Cache = smart

PostMon Feb 22, 2021 7:25 pm

Hi!
I would like to always have the smart setting as default for Render Cache under PLAYBACK. What do I have to do for that?
Thank you!
Oliver

You can enter a blank project and set it up the way you'll always do your videos, and then save it as "TEMPLATE" or something. Then, when you want to start a new project - go into the Project Manager and duplicate it and go to town. All your settings from the "template" project will be carried over.

Thank you - it works. There is no way to save this setting as a default preset?

UPDATE:
It can be easy if you know how ... or lots of tutorials later ...
Open Current Project, set PLAYBACK -> Render Cache = smart, then click on the gear wheel at the bottom right, click on PRESET, place the *mouse pointer* on Current Project -> RIGHT CLICK and save with "Save as User Default Config".
After that, all new projects are also opened via "Current Project" with all settings as default.

Smart is the default.
My Biases:

You NEED training.
You NEED a desktop.
You NEED a calibrated (non-computer) display.

Hm - why was "none" always set for me? After doing what I wrote it is now smart default.

Don't know. Maybe you unknowingly changed in the past.

It doesn't really matter - the main thing now is how I want it ;)
