Camera Raw Tab - Apply LUT

PostMon Feb 22, 2021 7:40 pm

From the Camera Raw Tab, check box for "Apply LUT."

Version 17.0B build 33 - Resolve Studio Public Beta

I've played around with it, and also looked for an explanation under the Help Tab, but for the DaVinci Resolve Reference Manual with this public beta it just gives me a new features guide, and this is not one of the new features.

I have tried the Lut, it seems like it might be helping to normalize the ranges for Color Science Gen 5 with the Pocket 6K which doesn't have Gen 5 in-camera yet but I don't know what the intended use actually targets, if not that.

1.) That said, what is this lut and when should it be used?
2.) Is the lut destructive?

Walter, I guess you are right because there is a dropdown box underneath, "LUT Source." It's grayed out so I can't choose other options but it does say "Embedded."

I must be having one of those, "becoming your parents moments."
