Max kbps AAC codec bug

Hello! On windows 10 pro 64, latest Davinci Resolve studio beta, audio codec AAC works only up to 192 kbps and not over 320. Some musics exported are at low quality especially at high frequency. Is is a bug or what? Thanks!

understood.. this isn't a bug, but onluy a political corporate choise.. It's like that you can't export audio mp3 because BMD don't pay the royalties.. If BMD wanna scratch a big market cake from premiere or media composer or final cut, they have to add this "little" things that make the differences...

To be fair, Premiere Pro and Media Composer are both substantially more expensive than Resolve. They can afford the expense of third-party encoders.

And we do have this now...

...so maybe things will improve.

Omg... I switched from media composer years ago to premiere because I hate third party encoder plugin and now we're in back to starting point lol

Anyway I found on my workflow a bug: my intro music has got very high frequency... If you select first a YouTube preset export and then to change to custom, every time you select aac audio codec, the file output, has got a high cut frequency like low bit rate encoding (that's why I reported this as bug). BUT, if you select first a different preset, like protools, and the change to custom, using same value as YouTube request, with aac codec, all my output audio it's perfect... I found this workaround, with a custom saved preset for my classic HD output, and now it works well...

I think third-party encoders are coming, but developers may be waiting for the final version of DR 17.
