Retime Speed- adjusting keyframe curve

PostTue Feb 23, 2021 1:39 pm

Hi everyone!

Trying to figure out the following scenarios with the speed points curves:

1)
EDIT:
OK just figured out that if I decrease the first point curve I can increase the second point, so this is a ripple issue.
Is there a way to adjust the second curve and it will simply ripple and extend the clip duration instead of always keeping it locked in its current duration? (ripple is selected under inspector-> speed change)

- 2 speed points near the start and the ending
- 1st segment set to 100%, 2nd to 300%, 3rd to 100%
- 1st and 3rd segment are similar in duration
- I can adjust the first curve to have a very smooth transition
- the second curve is always more limited and resulting in a harsh transition, why??

2)
- Selecting a speed point and choosing the curved point (instead of the default)
- Nothing happens:

- I manage to change the point curve only after de-selecting the clip and then selecting again the clip and point
- BUT even though the point has changed to curve it limits the curve adjustment at the very start, resulting in no difference in transition:
