Does Optimized Media influence the Color Page?

Hello

The clips with optimized media have a sort of color cast/effect, different to those who have no optimized media. When I go to the Color Page for grading, do I have to turn optimized media off to get the original version of the clip for grading?

I'm confused, because some clips seems to have this color effect (until I turn o-m off in the color page) and some does not.

I'm working with DR 17.08, DR Wide Gammut

Thank you for any help and inputs!
Michael

What are your source files? If they are camera RAW, perhaps you used different import settings when you created optimized media from what you use now.

Ok, thank you! These are BRAW's. I changed the colorspace probably after the import. But it changes anyway, when I re-optimize the clips...

...and how do I know if it's related to v17?

To try to answer your question, optimized media in some instances may not be identical to the source footage, though it's usually an issue of clipped data, not color cast. Unclear from your second post whether the explanation is a change of raw settings.

If you want to grade the original source footage, de-select the "use optimized media when available" option.
