Massively disappointed with the Speed Editor/DR Studio
I received my DR Studio and Speed Editor today. Stoked.
Small fold out in the speed editor says that software and the manual can be downloaded on the website in order to save waste. Not even a link. Less stoked.
After 30 minutes after searching via keywords on the website and then manually scrolling through all of the links on the support page, I couldn't find it. I resorted to the forum.
There is no manual apparently. But it can be found in the DR 17 manual. I have DR 16 installed. Back to the website. Can't seem to find DR 17 manual there.
I really don't want to be running DR 17 since it is in Beta.
Back to the forum. Appears I can plug the device in to a charger to activate it and remove it. Bingo.
Showed up in my BT list and hit connect.
The BT on the speed editor wrecked my BT devices already connected. I have a BT Keyboard & Mouse and I happened to be listening to a training course via my BT AirPods. My mouse and keyboard became laggy and my headphones were cutting in. I say cutting in because they were silent more than there was sound.
I went ahead and tried to connect it to DR anyway. It did not show up in the list under controllers.
Does this thing work with DR 16?
It appears the answer is "no" from the forum, but I couldn't find anything definitive.
I hit disconnect on my MBP and showed it as disconnected, however the thing must've been pinging away because that didn't improve my mouse, keyboard or audio.
I am running 2018 MBP 13", 4 T3 ports, 10.15.7 (Catalina)
Too bad there isn't a way to shut off the BT on the Speed Editor. I had to haul the thing to the other side of the house and then go back and shove it in a metal container.
Ugghhh. Not stoked.
I can't figure out how to "activate" my Studio version either. I'll save that for another post.
