R17 beta9 completely misreading clip color gamut

This is a complicated mess. Most of this worked ok in R16. This may be a bit rambling but its an intermingled mess of related problems.

OS 11.3 beta 2, iMac i9 96gb Vega48 +eGPU 5700XT

Project Settings : YRGB Color Managed, SDR Rec 709, output color 790/709 because thats where its going.

Source media : C300 mk2->SDI ->SUMO 19 ProRes RAW. [ not supported format :oops: :cry: ]
Convert to ProRes 4444 XQ with EditReady newer than current release beta that OR Compressor latest

Footage comes in as : Rec 2020 / Gamma 709 ! Ok, fine, let me set it to Clog2 / cinegamut. doesn't look right, too dark. best lut still dark appearance is to bypass all color

Same shots in finder preview - ProRes RAW or PR 4444 XQ look as expected, actually looks to be LUT converted to iMac native display space.

bring shots into FCPX 4444 shots a red until I apply correct LUT, ProRes raw looks a bit off but workable

Compressor, all looks fine

EditReady : PR4444 looks fine, PR RAW is dark

Semi Related : Resolve/Fusion preview to 2nd screen is very dark no matter what you try. Yes color management is turned on, yes Fusion LUT is on. Always dark. Even the 1/2 previews are not matching the edit TL.

I mean this is back to 1999 in terms of media color space manglement. At least in resolve if I shut off clip in interpretation is should do exactly that and its not. I should be able to see my unaltered pixels, and can't. At least at that point I could throw a 2nd node LUT on and have some normalcy.

I've been thru trying different project settings from Davinci original -> managed -> ACES and nothing is really working like it used to when dealing with log material. Yes I've worked with log forever in several flavors, I don't know how many camera formats. I've been using Resolve since V8 and its NEVER been this messed up. R16 was ok. I really just want to get some work done, but all I'm doing is wasting time getting no where and none of the usual fixes are working. Really need to acquire in 4K24 444 for green screen on this shoot, and thankfully I'm doing tests this week figure it out, but its been a disasterous workflow and shouldn't be. I guess my other option is 2K 12bit RGB in camera, but I'd really rather record 4K some flavor of ProRes 444 on this one b ut it looks like for now, R17 isn't handling any of this correctly not giving me options to make it right.

UPDATE : found way of messing with some settings in compressor to convert ProRes RAW->PR 444 X using 2020 HLG color setting. R17 seems to read those correctly and give me decent results. that was 2 hrs of stupid aggravating messing around.
