copy projects from MAC to PC

Hi

I have transferred a project from my MAC to my PC using the same root folder name for all files and folders in the project. Is there any way to have DR on the PC automatically find all these files or do I have to relink all the files individually or by group?

I'm hoping there is a way to use the preferences/media storage and mapped volumes to solve this but cannot seem to get it to work - whatever I input...

The media location on the MAC is;
/volumes/Lacie/projects/

and on the PC the project is stored under G:\projects

Grateful for any ideas or tips, I'm afraid the handbook is a little bit sketchy about this and doesnt have any examples for MAC / PC compatibility

No. The file systems are significantly different.

But you can ReLink clips en masse.

i had that working once, for tv series, remember it being a complete PITA, and just went with re-link after that go-around if it was not in the neighbourhood of a 26 ep series with fast turnaround i would not take another stab at it

re-link is pretty painless - at least compared to what ever it was we went through to get that function to be functioning

that was v14ish, maybe be better now, good luck, i've wiped my memory of how we got it to work, but work it did (once)

Re-linking is the way to go, we do it all the time.

Try mapping "G:\" to "/Volumes/lacie"
