Same Problems Twice... A Clean Install Between

Greetings to all. I am looking for help sorting this out...

Resolve 16 worked flawlessly on this system. As soon as I saw the upgrade path that includes the speed editor, I bought it and decided to adopt it early as I love to live on the bleeding edge, and have done significant amounts of beta testing in the past for several devs.

All of the beta builds worked initially, and I was loving the workflow and feature enhancements. Then suddenly things stopped working. I tried everything to fix the issues with no luck. So, instead I yanked the Samsung NVME m.2 that my system was on and reinstalled Windows 10 pro on the WD NVME m.2 drive that plugged in. After updates and drivers, I installed DaVinci_Resolve_17.0b9_Windows. It worked perfectly and I was able to re-attach all databases from earlier projects. I opened, tested and rendered enough projects to be confident that things were good.

I began the process of adding the other applications that I need to use daily, testing Resolve after each installation. It was all good. Finally after more hours than I care to admit the system was done and everything was working perfectly.

Last night, after working late, remotely on a client's server, I shut down and went to bed. This morning when I returned to the machine, I realized that it hung during the shutdown process... I had some acrobat and excel docs open that prevented the shutdown. I should have closed them all and rebooted, but what I did instead was open Resolve to glimpse at a project that has captivated me for the moment... and the problems began again:

After about 6 minutes on the splash screen looking for the controllers, resolve will eventually open, present the databases available and allow me to select a project or create a new one. Every click results in a grayed-out Not Responding screen that lasts the better part of a minute. Every click. Selecting any tab at the bottom, attempting to play the timeline or media, invoking the Inspector or expanding the effects library. New (empty) projects feel worse than existing projects. Projects that play will stutter the audio only and update the view on stop (usually following a non-responsive wait). Additionaly, moving the Resolve editor window around or between monitors is very choppy.

Any help fixing this is much appreciated!

Can you see the FAQs for details how to generate a Resolve diagnostic log, and NFO and post a link to them here.
also, which specific GPU driver is installed?

It appears that I have resolved the issue with my machine...
It appears that SentinelONE was the culprit and that it took several days before it blocked something that broke Resolve.

I rolled back the GPU driver to no avail... then installed the updated driver released today to no avail.
I completely removed Resolve and installed the 17.0 released today... no luck. Finally, in desperation, I created a folder path (C:\Program Files\Blackmagic Design) exclusion in SentinelONE Control's exclusion container for this tenant. I extended the exclusion to subfolders, and everything started to work again.

I will test more and post the results as I get them.
