DR17 Beta: Choppy playback & very slow rendering

I just transferred all my projects from a MacBook Pro 2015 to an ASUS G15 Zephyrus 2021. At first the playback was super fast and was going smoothly. All of sudden, it the the playback got really choppy and would play between 0 -2.5 FPS. I'm trying to figure out what happened. Any thoughts?
PC Specs:
Resolve 17.08 build 33
Asus G15 Zephyrus (2021)
AMD Ryzen 9 5800HS 3.3GHZ
16 GB 3.2 MHz DDR4
NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 8GB GDDR6
