Can't make the jump from 16 to 17

I recently purchased DRS 16 (in January 2021) and I just downloaded 17 - but it's asking for an activation code. I bought it through the App Store, so no code/serial number was given. No email was sent with it either.
Some help would be appreciated. Frustrating as all hell.

You need to wait till the v17 on the App Store is available and upgrade from that store.
Apple do not permit betas so until today we could not submit v17 for approval. It can take a few days.
