If no markers on Cut, how do you save your place?

I keep losing my place in the Source Tape viewer. Ideally I would not leave the Cut page until done, but it isn't working out.

When I return to the Cut page, my last I/O and the playhead position in the viewer is lost. I am working with lengthy monotonous clips of lichens with no audio and no timecode.

Is there any way to save my place in the Cut page viewer?

You can always put markers in the timeline.

Thank you but how does that bring you back to the same place in the Source Tape?

Sorry, I misunderstood. So you are referring to switching to the Edit page and back, yes? Since jumping between timeline view and source view in the Cut page seems to preserve my position.

That should be a feature request, then, you may check that subform. But I suppose the intended workflow is just doing a rough cut in the Cut page and then going to Edit for fine-tuning. I suppose the developers didn't have jumping back and forth in mind.

Yes that makes sense. I tried to stay put but realize now that the choppiness of the Cut page on my machine made it really hard to sit there.
