It seems to need a bit longer. After all, it's not only a new program, but new hardware too.

OK, for so long we can work with the beta version. and what would happen if we install the "normal" final version for Mac? will rosetta 2 play with the software?

AFAIK, there's only a problem with the dongle not being recognised.

Actually it's not behind, the M1 Apple Silicon DaVinci Resolve 17.1 beta, but actually ahead! If you look at the new beta 10 release, it is now a "universal" package for both Intel and Apple Silicon Macs as well as Windows PC's and Linux. Windows PC's and pretty much all other Intel systems can now join in on the 17.1 beta, the product that will supersede DaVinci Resolve 17.0 when it's finally out of beta. M1 Apple Silicon Mac's simply had the benefit of using the newer beta version prior to the other platform.

My understanding and reported from others is that the USB Dongle was resolved back in beta 5 of the DaVinci Resolve 17.1 for M1 Apple Silicon. This was also the time that I was able to use my activation card (why I cannot test dongle) to install Fusion Studio 17 beta on my same M1 MacBook Air. Essentially both the Activation Card and USB Dongle came to parity when it comes to having DaVinci Resolve Studio 17.1 and Fusion Studio 17 installed on the same M1 Mac.

The problem with the dongle is with 17.0 running on M1 Macs. Since 17.0 is compiled for Intel CPUs only when you run it on M1 it runs over Rosetta2. For almost everything this is fine except for the dongle support.
If you have dongle and M1 Mac then you must use the Universal app (17.1 branch) which is still in beta...
