Media Off Line while exporting

since I upgraded to ver. 17 (first all beta and now the released version) I get Media Off Line errors.
When I go to "Reveal in Finder" the clip is there and it plays normally. When I try to "Relink Media" and I select the folder, even when I click on the clip, nothing happens. The only way to solve this problem is to shut down Resolve and start new. Then all clips show normal in the Media Pool again.
I wonder what causes the problem? This is kind of troublesome, because I often let the exporting run over night, and if one clip shows Media off Line, it stops the exporting.
I am using external drives, but I never had that problem with any ver.16.
