Resolve is designed to run on Win10 so you will need to upgrade for reliable operation.

Would a 10 year old i3 cpu and only 4GB ram not be the problem here? :? Doesn't Resolve require at the very minimum 8GB?

Have any of you have had the opportunity of installing "DaVinci Resolve" on a Windows Server 2012 R2? The version that I'm trying to install is 16 and for some reason, it's preventing me (and others) from running it. The first issue was a missing dll library, I installed the missing dll and then, something else failed. I have tried removing / reinstalling it multiple times with the same results.

The application is failing to run with the following error "The procedure entry point LoadLibraryA could not be located in the dynamic link library C:\Program Files\Blackmagic Design\DaVinci Resolve\OpenCL.dll"
Researched this error and I couldn't find anything that can actually fix it.

You might -- repeat, might -- succeed by deleting the opengl.dll file in the Resolve folder, a fix which worked in the past for running earlier Resolve versions on some Win 7 installations. Note that the only Windows OS supported for some years now is Win 10, and Resolve 17 probably won't run at all on any earlier Windows version.
