alt + mouse wheel function has changed in 17??

PostFri Feb 26, 2021 4:53 am

It used to be that you could use the mouse scroll wheel with alt that you can navigate the timeline in resolve..

if you had the cursor over the timecode you could scroll the timeline. Over the working area, you could zoom. It's been this way ever since i started with resolve 12... up until 16.

How can I add this functionality back.. and if I can't, why change something so fundamental and basic???

In R17, they've unified the behavior of mouse scroll wheels and trackpads, plus they've added the option to zoom to the mouse pointer vs zoom to the playhead. Now, when you use the scroll wheel, holding shift expands or contracts the track height, holding option zooms in/out, and holding command navigates forwards and backwards. See page 69 of the new features guide.

Thanks for the quick reply. I guess I'll have to get used to the new controls. The zoom on mouse pointer is welcome though.
