Davinci Resolve 17.1 Beta 10 Intel Support HEVC

PostFri Feb 26, 2021 5:38 pm

Just installed the latest Beta on my brandnew notebook (Intel Core i7 1165 with Intel Iris Xe integrated graphics.
Under Preferences - System - Memory and CPU - GPU Configuration I can only choose OpenGL as GPU processing mode.

And under Deliver - Custom settings i can only choose h.264 for .mp4 files.

I wish I could render my uhd footage from my sony fdr-ax53 with hardware acceleration / intel quick sync support / hevc encoding. Hoped it would be possible as it was pronounced that hevc de-/encoding would be possible on supported intel platforms.

Is this possible on my system, and how?

Might be limited to the Studio version.
My disaster protection: export a .drp file to a physically separated storage regularly.
