Can I copy a clip and paste where my mouse is?

PostSat Feb 27, 2021 2:54 am

Hey friends, I have this doubt for ages, and I never find a way to do it ...

I don't know how others editors software works and if this is normal, but for me is really hard to put in my head that whenever I copy a clip in the timeline the paste will be where my playhead is and in the same track where the copy was, instead of where my mouse pointer are ... I always need to drag clip around because of this.

It would be a game change to copy a clip in track 10 and past in track 1 where my mouse pointer is.

This is possible? :?

As far as I know this is not possible with Davinci.

I am using Hitfilm also and it has this functiοnality, "Paste" function pastes at the playhead, "Paste Here" function pastes at the cursor position.
If you want something similar for Davinci you can make a feature request here: viewforum.php?f=33

If you want paste clip on playhead position, clear in/out points.
