I paid for the studio version and now with it installed, I can not get a simple edit job done.

Here is my timeline it shows media offline but it's all in the same place on the same SSD drive. And it keeps changing I can play it back and then some show-up and others show media offline at random.
This is all HD clips no 4k in it.
Then I keep getting the CPU Popup and after a few times it then just locks up.
I started this in 16 and not once did I see the media offline. Now I see it all the time and can not finish this video.
I even reconnected and they might show back up and then go back to media offline after a few playbacks.
Sometimes when I first load in the project its all working but after a playback it they starts dropping out clips with media offline.

I am trying to do takeovers into it but I keep getting the GPU pop up so I have only been able to do the first part around 15 seconds.
Here is my system info as well.
I need this to work I need to get videos out.

The same problem has been reported by some other users. You can go to preferences and disable GPU decoding as a workaround until this gets fixed.

Still working on this. I was able to now add in the rest of the talkovers but even more clips all went to media offline as I was recording audio in.
Now back in the edit page, you can see in the bottom photo I now no longer have a play head or scroll to grab to go to a place in the timeline and I can now not resize the timeline none of that works now.
Also, you can even see with it saying media offline in the timeline some of the clips still pay in the preview window.
Now I have to shut it down and restart it and hope it works.

Ok I restarted it and now look at the new top photo all the clips are showing up no media offline. But after a playback or scrub in the timeline, they start popping back out to media offline. This is nuts.

I can not work like this for simple easy edits.
I need to go and add a soundtrack next if it lets me.

Thanks - So far after disabling GPU decoding, I am not getting the media offline it's all working and no GPU pop up yet. Crossing my fingers.

Perhaps updating your GPU driver?

I have everything ready to export now after adding in another clip I shot today.

Now it will not export the finished job.
I have tried 6 times now even rebooting two times.
Sometimes it starts and then DR just shuts down.
Other times it starts and then gets into it and then stops with the offline media but it is their on the same drive as always. Then it pops up the GPU popup as well.

This is very frustrating to buy this and not even be able to finish a very simple small HD edit job.
I ordered this in place of doing an upgrade for an old version I have of Edius I was using around 5 years ago editing 4k in it on a much older slower system than I have now.
Here is another screenshot.

Checking my drivers and it says - the best drivers for your device are already installed.

I checked online and found a newer driver and installed it. Now when I try to render it out I get a pop up saying it can not find the right code.

Then I try again and get this other pop-up asking if the clip is still on my drive and yes it is.

So still no go can not get this done.

Anything else to try?

Now it is showing that almost all my clips in the media area are all media offline this is nuts it changes from one min to the next.

External drive? Bad cable? Reseat the connectors?

In Preferences try unchecking these two and see if it renders. Do check your render afterwards just in case.
