I am now quite used to making DCPs in DaVinci Resolve. And I must say, to make an unencrypted DCP Resolve is as good as any other software, rather it's less time consuming.
Only thing that needs to be taken care of is manually putting the date and time in the delivery dropbox, failing which older servers may not play the DCP. After this, following the standard Composition setting the way a DCP is to be named, everything works fine.
Excepting for one flaw which we are facing here in India.
In the language dropdown menu in the Composition setting, many of the National languages are missing. There are 17 major languages in India and only Hindi, Tamil and Telugu are listed. No mention of Bengali (BN)-- (which is also the language of Bangladesh), Assamese (AS), Oriya (OR), Malayalam and others. Plenty of films are made in these languages and many films make it to International Festivals.
But it's not only about India. Two days ago I had to master an Iranian film. The language was Farsi. I couldn't find this language in the dropdown menu.
I am sure this is not a bug, just an oversight. EasyDCP and Qubemaster softwares have all the languages listed. Would request to update the language dropdown menu in the DCP delivery of Resolve.
