change the tempo of an audio recording

PostFri Feb 26, 2021 1:48 am

Is there some way to change the tempo of an audio recording, after it has been recorded, to make it faster without changing the pitch. They can do that in smart Music, but when I changed to timing in the tools under the editing window, it just cut the end off the music and didn't change the speed. It just made it shorter. I don't want to cut any music off, I just want it to play at a faster tempo than I first recorded it. It is the first track in the timeline window that I am working with.

You can compensate for speed changes with pitch shift.

Speed and duration however are inexoribly linked in an inverse proportional relationship, increasing one necessarily decreases the other.

Good Luck
