Mask Davinci black background
I've got at video with a product shot on pure white surface.
I'd like to output this in square format. Due to the composition it's not possible to zoom the video to fully cover the square area so I get a black field on top and bottom of the square output.
What is the easiest way to mask the black parts with white?
I made a try by adding a white solid color track below my video track and used the Composite Mode Darken. That seen to work but I'm not really sure what potential changes this method does to the video.
Is there a good way of achieveing a white backgroud rather than the Davinci default black?
Basically I just need to mask the black background with white.
EDIT: Just made some more testing. I used a solid color white on track 1 and masked out my video on track 2 so all space outside the object is transparent. This shows a plain white background covering the whole square space. Seem to work fine.
