I have a grade that I'd like to apply to several similar shots. I'd like this grade to be shared between them all such that when I tweak one of them, it applies to all of them.
I achieved this grade using Power Windows that need to be tracked, and their placement + tracking data is slightly different for each clip. This presents a challenge since every way I know of having shots share a grade either disables use of PW tracking (groups) or essentially treats all the clips as one giant clip that needs the same PW tracked throughout the duration of the scene (adjustment clip).
Right now, the easiest way I can see of doing this would be to split the grade's node tree into pre-clip, clip, and post-clip sections with the problematic PWs in the "clip" section. Problem is, not only is that convoluted enough for me to dread starting the process, it also pretty much rules out being able to use Stills or Grade Versions. That's a drag.
I could also use Shared Nodes. But, converting my 12-node grade into shared nodes - then doing that for all my grades - is going to end up with dozens and dozens and dozens of shared nodes. That is certainly going to break something - least of all my brain.
Wondering if anyone has any better ideas? Thanks!
