White bar across the top of the screen

I am running Davinci Resolve 17 and have been for quite some time. Have not had any problems until today. A white bar has appeared across the top of my screen about an inch in width. It is wide enough to cover all of the controls at the top of the screen. It will not go away. If I click the (windows) minimize maximize, or "x" for close, none of them work. My control buttons and timeline work fine, but I cannot click anything that is under the white bar. Please Help! I am working on an important project.

PS, I downloaded and installed the latest 17 update, hoping this may fix the problem. It did not.
