How to check for optimised media?

Hi,

I cannot find a way to check if optimised media exists for a file. Instruction Manual and online forums say there should be an optimised media column to show that in media pool but it is nowhere to be found on my version od davinci. I am using Studio 17.

Also it seems to me that if I select a bunch of clips and click generate optimised media it will recreate optimised media for all the files not only the missing ones. Is that the case? How can I tell Davinci to only create the missing ones?

no. since novembrer, with new release 17, the optimized media are shared between projects inside the same database. The drawback is that you can't see wich clips are optimized, and for delete it, you have to delete phisically the cache folder from windows. You can use the new generate proxy file. The drawback about proxies, is that you have to converte ALL clip lenght, among the same clip in timeline :)

Thanks for this. Now I have a big problem with resolve crashing all the time after upgrading to studio 17...
