Fusion scales down input

PostMon Mar 01, 2021 2:14 pm

Hi there.

I have noticed the following while working in the Fusion tab and WITHOUT the timeline options "Center crop with no resizing" or "Scale full frame with crop" (in those cases, luckily, it works just fine).

Every time I use some source file with a higher resolution than the timeline one, it correctly creates a canvas with the original resolution, but the image appears scaled-down to fit or stretch. The opposite problem doesn't happen with images smaller than the timeline dimensions.

Is this a bug? Or is it wanted behavior?

I definitely have noticed a lot of weird (and I'd say buggy) behavior when not using the "crop" mode as project / timeline settings. And also recently some with "super sample".

I think somewhere there is a bug where they mix up the size of the media at various stage of the pipeline yielding theses weird bugs.
