SOS! Please help me save my projects!

After upgrading from Resolve 16.2.8 to 17, the program wouldn't open. Instead I got an error message "Entry Point Not Found." "The procedure entry point CM_Register_Notification could not be located in the dynamic link library CFGMGR32.dll" I uninstalled 17 and reinstalled 16.2.8. The program launches but is stuck on the launch graphic. It won't fully open and I can't get to any of my projects, one of which is pending completion asap!! Please help, thanks!
