timelines at different resolutions

PostTue Mar 02, 2021 1:57 pm

Hello,

I'm trying to use multiple timelines, to help divide up a video. I've attempted to make the timelines a different resolution, which matches the source material I have.

When I add these back onto the project timeline at HD resolution, the videos positions move around. They seem to get reformatted.

I am assuming this is because the clip positions are relative to the timeline they are in, not in their original timeline.

Is there anyway to avoid this or a better way of doing what I am trying to achieve.

The goal was to create a video to fit the format of the newspaper front page, so that I could overlay on top of each other in the end without the black borders at the side.

Thank you,

Richard
