Hi all,
I shot a couple of interviews with a pair of Pockets and an external recorder. Most everything was slated and scratch audio was recorded but I am still having issues with syncing everything up. These are the steps I took:
- dump footage from both cams and external audio into same bin;
- select all > "Auto sync... weaveform..." ;
- redistribute synced clips into appropriate bins, per interview/person;
- in each of the interview bins, select all clips with synced audio > New multi-cam clip...
This workflow creates two issues:

if I open multi-cam clip in timeline, I have more than one audio track (as many as there are angles) which causes phasing issues;

audio is not synced properly with the video (may be an error from previous step "
Auto sync audio" OR there may be audio drift
Is it possible that there is a problem because the shotgun mic is a foot away from the talent while cameras are say 5-8 feet? Physics issue, more time to reach the cameras? Or is there audio drift in some of the devices in the process (either audio recorder or some of the cameras)?
Many thanks!
