Resolve 17 Windows Timeline Stutter on Clip Changes

Upgraded to 17 and 2 days later downgraded to 16.2.7, because of timeline stutters on clip changes.

No matter what kind of 1080p / 25 fps proxy media I was using (Prorez / DNxHr SQ or so) I couldn''t get the timeline to play smoothly.
It's not a new system but playback only use less than 6 % of CPU, Disk & or GPU compute resources.

I have restarted several times with latest drivers Nvidia Studio 461.40, Decklink 12 etc. and it doesn't matter if I use ssd or hdd raid drives.

So what to do ?, I never had these kind of problems on a 2009 mac pro (with resolve 15)

Help and suggestions are appreciated

Windows 10 Resolve 17

Things got better after enabling largesystemcache, better means workable but not yet perfect.

The follow link explains how to enable this cache

What kind of "clip changes" are causing the issue?

Solved
by enabling Large System Cage as described above and switching to high performance mode - an energy (not) conservation mode _ in the control panel section of windows 10 prof.

Everything I tried and expected to work is working ( I can edit) now. 4k DnxHr HQ, and all other proxy stuff .

Only Canon hevc 422 10 bit 4k is giving some trouble (as expected)

To answer your question Jan. Before I had trouble playing back a HD(1080p) timeline with DNx HR (sq) and just cuts no effects what so ever.
