Speed Editor isn't working... why is there no documentation?

PostWed Mar 03, 2021 4:11 pm

Purchased Studio 17 and the speed editor bonus package, but I can't seem to get the speed editor working. I don't have bluetooth, but I do have it plugged in via usb c (got a message from windows that it was successfully set up), and my impression was that you could EITHER use BT or USB C. Even after a full day of being hooked up and I assume charging (since there are no indicator lights) it isn't working. Panels show nothing connected.

And I have no idea how to even go about troubleshooting since there is no manual!

Yes, I know there is some limited documentation under the new features pdf, but not how to connect or troubleshoot problems. I waited over 2 months while this thing was backordered, and now I can't get it to work.

Opinion: between the atem mini pro and this, BMD really needs to consider either an 'ON' button or at least status leds. And how do you sell a piece of gear with no basic manual? Not even a 'getting started' guide.

If Resolve detects it you should see the battery status on bottom right of Resolve status bar and also under Win system hardware devices (at least I saw some screenshot of that). But I’m not sure if it shows any of that without active BT connection, haven’t tried yet.
