R3D footage not importing entire duration of clip

I am grading a project edited by someone else. This project contains R3D footage, one of these clips does not import the entire duration of the clip. All the other clips work perfectly fine. The editor has checked on their side and the clip imports fine on their side, they have resent me the clip and I still have the same issue. Working on Davinci Resolve 16.2.8 maOS high Sierra 10.13.6. Does anyone know of any work arounds or has anyone encountered this? I couldn't find anything on google, this forum, on RED website, the deadline is looming and panic is setting in.
I don't work with R3D footage often, so I'm hoping that there is a setting or way of importing that I'm overlooking. Any help would really be appreciated!
