External Audio Interface that Works with Resolve?
Posted: Sat Mar 06, 2021 10:15 amI discovered today that Resolve Studio 17 won't recognize my MOTU Ultralite mk3 Hybrid as a single device with multiple AV Streams preventing me from assigning individual outputs to a multi-track master. Resolve only sees Pairs of outputs, which it considers "devices" in the Audio Preferences, so only two outputs appear in the drop downs for all multi-track options.
I've found in other posts here that BMD doesn't support ASIO (for some arcane, unexplainable reason), which would allow my MOTU to work, just like it does on my 2012 version of Adobe Audition CS6 for 5.1 surround on Win 7.
I'd like to find out if ANYBODY has an external audio device that's similar that they have proven to work in Resolve 17 for multitrack audio. I think waiting for the acceptance of ASIO by BMD or a new WDM driver from MOTU is a lost cause. It looks like I'll need to buy a new audio interface to do anything beyond Stereo on Resolve. Yay. Any advice would be appreciated.
