Thank you for any help.

Do you know what to look for fixing this problem?
I have tried new project/timeline/ compound clip, but nothing works, I had same issue with 17 FINAL version.

I don't know. It just works here.

If you open the Compound, does audio play?

I think Im doing something wrong.
I have premade compund clips on my timeline, I add my new video clips manually in these compound clips (this timeline is used for all my videos again and again), I have 8 compound clips with few effects and some color etc, I wanted to use this as my vertical video story "template" 30 seconds long. I was thinking just putting new clips in these compund clips (like placeholder in after effects for replacing footage) and every thing will be fine. But I think is not how it works in davinci. :D
Any workarround?

I am not a big user of Compound Clips. I generally prefer to have all my original clips in the same timeline. Plus the work I do doesn't require compound clips, so I can get away with that.

Might that same idea apply here?

it will be way too cumbersome for me as I do it several times a day, it is much easier to put them into compund clips, coming from After Effects and Premiere this is part of my workflow.

Maybe try nesting as an alternative. See if that works.

I had problems with this at some point in the past (in v17 betas I think). Haven't tried recently. As I remember, if I opened the compound clip I would hear audio, but when it was just a clip in a timeline I didn't.

As a general rule, we can. You're saying that doesn't work either?

TNR doesn't work on nested timelines. I haven't tried it on compound clips. I've always just assumed TNR needs to be added to the original clip.

I would agree.

Abdul,

Can you indicate what effect you see this issue with? And that you're working with 17.1?

Please also export a project where you can see this issue. Please also go to Help menu > Create Daignostic log on Desktop to create a zip file. And finally, please open Windows System Information and do a File > Save (Not Export)to create and save a system.nfo file.

Please create a shareable link from these three files (drp, zip and nfo) - from DropBox or OneDrive or another file sharing service - and add the link here for us to take a look at.

Thanks
Shrinivas
