Win10 DR17 free and Media Offline

PostSat Mar 06, 2021 3:52 pm

I just install DR 17 free Edition on Windows 10 Pro 64bit Laptop

Installation wend well, no errors or warring.
I then create a project and imported some MP4 footage (Action Cam).
File the where imported in the media section, but the are all mark as Offline.
Audio is working but video no.

I can view all file on VLC Media player.
All video are in the C drive.

1) I update all the Diver and bios as well the video card driver.
2) Relink the media
3) Reboot few times

But i still can't view the media, only hear

I will appreciate some suggestion.
Thanks
Marco

You may need Studio for that codec.
My disaster protection: export a .drp file to a physically separated storage regularly.

No, that's an outdated method that only worked with the now abandoned QT framework. The only exception might be the HEVC codec by Microsoft. You should give it a try, it's cheap.

But the paid version supports more codecs.
