Help! New database NO write Permissions cache path

I just tried to copy the multicam project I'm working on to a new database with the idea that that might put less stress on my computer as it wouldn't have to open a database with lots of different projects and lots of fairly heavy effects cache files. So I created a new database and then copied my multicam project into it. However when I tried to open the project I got a message that said

" Davinci Resolve does not have write permissions for the selected path
Ensure that permissions are set up correctly for the path/Volumes/4TRaid/..../CacheClip
Alternatively you can update the the cache path in Project Settings under Master settings. "

So then I just tried to open the same project in the old database and got the same message . What the heck do I do now? I have no idea what's going on and am scared that I'll do something to permanently lose all the work I've already done.

I have looked around and one solution seemed to be to go to Project Settings>Working Folders>cache files location and just copy what's written there , then delete it and reenter it. I tried that and got the same message. Another thread suggested i do somethings similar in Preferences >System> Media Storage , but I don't understand that one.
Anyway I can't do a damn thing right now and I have no idea how to fix it.

Please help!!!

You can get that message if the location of that path is just missing. Could that be the case?

Very unlikely. I have been working in this project for about a month. The only time I've gotten a similar message before was when I forgot to turn my Raid on and it went away if I turned on the Raid {though I did close & reopen Resolve first.) While I hadn't actually worked in that project for about 6 hours, there is no reason for me to believe any files would have gotten lost during that time. This happened after I created a new database, then in the old database I copied this project and pasted it in the new one.

I then opened the project in the new database & got this message . Likewise I went to back to the previous database and tried to open the project there and got the same message again. In both cases the project opened but the media was all missing. It seems I just need to reconnect my original files and my cache files to the project but I'm not sure how to do that . I don't want to experiment much because I don't want to screw it up more.

I can see a folder on the 4T Raid called Jules 1 Optimized Media and it contains a folder called CacheClip with 291 Gigs in it , so its there all right just as the message describes.

Quite distressing.

Well this morning it works fine! Maybe it was just restarting - but I thought I already had tried that - usually that's the first step. Well now I feel like an idiot but as the Bard said: "All's well that ends well."
