Sony A7SIII 4:2:2 export file

PostSun Mar 07, 2021 2:40 pm

Hello all,

I recently bought a Sony A7SIII and I shoot on XAVC HS 4K (Η.265) 4:2:2 10 bit.

I would like to know what are (if any) the proper render settings to export a 4:2:2 chroma subsampling file. I am using Davinci Resolve Studio 17.

I have tried many different render settings and still get a 4:2:0 file.

Thank you :)

Try DNxHR or Cineform, they are 422. On the Mac, there is ProRes 422.
My disaster protection: export a .drp file to a physically separated storage regularly.
