Converting 1 clip into smaller clips

PostSun Mar 07, 2021 7:49 pm

I'm getting great results using the new neural "Detect Scene Cut" tool in Resolve Studio 17. But once I've confirmed all my cut points, I'm wanting to convert all my new clips into independent media in order for me to flag my clips individually.

I feel like the key would be to media manage my timeline, but while this creates new media, the clips themselves remain linked to one another. Am I doing something wrong? Is what I'm trying to do possible?

I'm confused.

Once you cut it up, the segments do behave as separate clips in the timeline.
My Biases:

You NEED training.
You NEED a desktop.
You NEED a calibrated (non-computer) display.

Flags work on a common media source file so won't be useful in your scenario.
You could use clip colours, or do an Individual Clips export on the Deliver Page with Custom names and then re-import.
