Metal Capable GPU Error

I just upgraded to v17 and am receiving a message at launch that says "could not find metal capable GPUs. Review the drivers and GPU configuration under preferences."

I am not sure what/how to do this?

I am running Davinci on a iMac (21.5-inch, Late 2013), 3.1 GHz Quad-Core Intel Core i7, 16 GB 1600 MHz DDR3, NVIDIA GeForce GT 750M 1 GB, running on Catalina 10.15.7.

Thanks for any guidance!

I've got the same problem. Still running on mojave and hoped that the GPU driver would be updated with Catalina.. You can change to open cl but (which I did) I'm still having issues, videol are not running smooth in timeline. Tried to work with proxys instead (optimized media) still not running.

I’m afraid gong to 17 will cause the need for a hardware upgrade. Have a look at those new M1 machines.
