Hi together,
I have an HP 15S EW176NGwith 4700u/16gb Ram/radeon onboard GPU
Whatching my 4K h265 GoPro Records (and other resolutions / cams / Codecs) is no problem with the windows mediaplayer. Hardwaredecoding runs without error.
When I have some of this files in a project/timeline and hardwaredecoding activated, there is no or just flickering video in the preview window. also player just the mediafiles in the mediasection isnt working, just sound.
I CAN render the project with hardware support, 4k h265 with around 24-25fps, in the taskmanager and other tools I can see the GPU usage, but with HW Decoding activated, the result is with videoerrors, with HW decoding deactivated the result is fine. edited: As you can see, with hardwaredecoding rendering ist faster (40fps vs 25fps) and die CPU load lower, but the result is buggy.
(decoder activated, same videoerror I have in the timeline preview)
(decode deactivated)
How can I solve this? The Notebook was bought for many reasons, using it for small clips with resolve was just a part of it, but from the perspectiv of CPU/GPU Power it should be good enough for some small clips and timelines.
Any hints or help available?
Is there a way to make blackmagic regognizing that problem?
Thanks and regards,
Michael
PS: I use resolve studio also on my main computer, love it (Intel CPU and Nvidia GPU), but on AMD GPU it seems to have errors.
