Nothing works. Something goes wrong

PostWed Mar 10, 2021 9:51 am

Hi to all.

I have following issue. No file shows a preview in my resolve 17. i have installed it couple days ago the first time and even at the first start nothing to see. even Jpg has no preview. i can drag it to the timeline and press the play button but nothing happens.

The timeline indicator dont move at all. no sound no image no preview.

even with the quick export the remaining time goes up and up but not a single frame are render.

My drivers are up to date.

Please can anyone come with a solution. I google a lot but nothing helps.

Is this the first time you have used Resolve?
Are you on a laptop or desktop? If a desktop and it has a discrete GPU, your monitor should be plugged into that and not the onboard video connector.

That GPU is really old. It just plain may not work with Resolve.
My Biases:

You NEED training.
You NEED a desktop.
You NEED a calibrated (non-computer) display.

Resolve is a hardware intensive program.
In Resolve the CPU is used to run the app, disk I/O, fusion, compression and decompression of codecs.
Resolve does all its image processing in the GPU on the graphics card. More CUDA/OpenCL Cores are better.

These are the minimum specs for running Resolve.

i have windows 10 with 16 GB and my Card have Open CL 1.2

So i Have all minimum requirements for Windows. Normally it has to run...
I mean resolve starts normal and i can switch between all edit modes, open preferences and so on with no lag or something else. I can also browse my media files.

Same problem with me. Not one frame rendered but the remaining time continues to go up.
That being said, I've had problems using the standard rendering of this Fusion segment as well.

G'luck.

Buy a new RTX GPU from nVidia as soon as you can.

Untief then, try Fusion standalone and render in high-quality codec.
My disaster protection: export a .drp file to a physically separated storage regularly.
