System: Dell Precision mobile WS 5550, GP: NVIDIA Quadro T2000 - driver vers. 461.72; 68 GM RAM; i7-10850H :D
Windows 10 20H2
external Monitor (Eizo) via Dell Dock WD19-TB (thunderbolt)

DaVinci Resolve cannot be started when using the external monitor. The software starts properly w/o external monitor via docking station, but as soon the external monitor is connected, the system faults during startup. :o :o :o

In the logs the gpu, monitor etc is found.

Errors found in the log:

I tried various combinations of gpu device driver and DaVinci Resolve, but could not find any working solution with external monitor.

Thanks for your help!

Dear Blackmagic Team,

I digged a bit deeper into the problem and tried other settings:
The issue is not only linked to an external monitor. I have the following constellations:

A) NB without any docking - works fine
B) NB plus Thunderbolt Docking Dell WD19TB: does not work - there is no difference if the external monitor is active, plugged in or not
C) NB with USB-C Docking: does not work does not work - there is no difference if the monitor is active, plugged in or not

The issue occurs with any Version of NVIDIA device drivers and any version of DaVinci Resolve
I have several trials of uninstall and reinstall to try the different possibilities of software and driver versions.

Windows Version ist CB at latest state with actual patches
Bios is actual

The log generation did not work as described, but I copied the logs from
C:\Users\xxxxxxx\AppData\Roaming\Blackmagic Design\DaVinci Resolve\Support\logs
I did not ad the .dmp file, as this is too large.

A case is opened at NVIDIA as well. Please advice if it will be usefull to open a case at DELL
Thanks for your support.
If this works out fine I will switch to the Studio Version!

Latest Update:

I could isolate the problem to a specific situation with some brands (!!!) of usb headset connected to the notebook.

The software does not start properly, when a poly / plantronics usb headset is connected to the computer via usb.(or usb hub)

Tried with:
- Poly Savi 8245 USB (no difference if plantronics hub software installed or not) - problem occures
- Poly Blackwire 3210 USB (no difference if plantronics hub software installed or not) - problem occures
- Sennheiser 260 USB - no problem
- JABRA Motion Office (USB) - no problem
- Jabra Elite 75t (bluetooth) no problem

So it seems not to be the display driver, but either the usb driver, audio driver or the software has a problem.
