After cache render, timeline still choppy

PostWed Mar 10, 2021 5:09 pm

hi guys! I know that my workstation isn't up to date and it has to be upgraded (maybe when next nvidia cards will be available on market, damn). Anyway, just a simple question: why after make a cache render in dnxhq, with a hard color grading, my timeline is still choppy? my workstation it's a classic hpz 820 with a nvidia quadro k4000, dual processor and 64 gig ram.

What i have to know is if what effectively the render cache do. my cache is placed inside an ssd evo. My footage it's a Eva1 fullhd longgop 422. i know that my quadro can't support cuda, and i know that, but dollowing the logic, if i create a render cache, i should see my video smooth... or should i do render in place? thanks!

EDIT: i see that if i work without timeline proxy, all goes very choppy (with render in cache). if i enable the timeline proxy, everything works smooth!... So can i know the pipeline render on davinci please? thanks! :D

EDIT 2: probably it's an issue with my workstation... after a reboot everything works well :?
