This is not the standard "no waveform" issue that is ultra common with Davinci where you still hear audio playback without waveforms. I can't get playback in the project or on exporting, the waveforms are blank and no audio levels appear on playback. I've googled this to high heaven to try to solve it with no luck, here are my operating specs.
MacOS Big Sur 11.2.1
Davinci Resolve Studio 17.1B
Video Clips are .braw shot on BMPCC4K
I was editing an interview timeline with some other assets on top and I opened a previous project to copy paste a compound clip from another project that contained subtitle title files. I went into the compound clip to begin editing the text for the current project and when I came back to my main timeline the audio waveforms had disappeared. This is a frequent occurrence in Davinci so I cleared my cache as usual and restarted everything, no change.
There is no waveform showing, no audio playing back in the source monitor so I can't match frame all the clips, but if I play the media back in the Media tab I can hear it. I've gone through steps on several tutorials for getting your waveforms back to see if that works. Also TIL that the auto save was off by default. Yay.
If anybody has experienced this and found a workaround it would be much appreciated, I´m hoping that I'm just overlooking a 'turn off all audio and waveforms' button somewhere. My last option is to re-edit the piece in Premiere.
