17.1 - Can't Import clip if its a Reference

We used to be able to import a Reference video AND import it as a regular clip. Now we can't.

Is this a bug?

It has to be imported to separate folders/bins.

I'm encountering so many bugs that I thought this was another and panic posted. :o

can you solve keyframe bugs too? :)
